Frequently asked questions

1. How do I book a session?

Get in touch and tell me a little about the type of session, your preferred date and location. We’ll discuss the details, choose the right option and I’ll reserve the date once the deposit has been paid.

2. Is a deposit required?

Yes. A deposit is required to reserve the date.

The deposit is €50 for portrait, family and event photography. For wedding photography, it is 30% of the selected package price.

The remaining balance is due before the session or on the day of the shoot.

3. When does the session time start?

For sessions in Helsinki, Vantaa or Espoo, the session time starts when I arrive at the agreed location.

For example, a 1–1.5-hour family session starts when we are ready to begin at the location, not while I’m travelling there.

4. What if the session is outside Kehä III?

Travel outside Kehä III is charged separately. By car, the rate is €0.55 per kilometre for the return journey (minimum €30).

If travelling by train or plane, the return ticket to the location is charged. We’ll agree on the travel option and cost in advance.

5. Can I receive a few photos sooner?

Yes. You can receive a small selection sooner: up to 10 finished photographs on the day of the shoot.

The rush mini-gallery costs €50.

The rest of the gallery will be delivered within the usual timeframe listed for your session.

6. Do you help with posing?

Yes. I’ll gently guide you on where to stand, how to turn, what to do with your hands and how to feel more at ease in front of the camera.

I avoid rigid posing that makes someone look unlike themselves. I prefer to guide you gently so the photographs stay natural and full of life.

7. Can I reschedule the session?

Yes. You can reschedule once without losing your deposit if you let me know at least 48 hours before the scheduled time.

We’ll choose a new available date, and your deposit will carry over.

If fewer than 48 hours remain, rescheduling is possible by agreement, but the deposit may not be carried over because the date was reserved for you.

If severe weather, illness or another objective reason makes the shoot impossible, we’ll choose a new date together and your deposit will carry over.

8. What happens if I cancel?

If you cancel at least 7 days before the session, you can use your deposit towards a new date within 3 months.

If you cancel less than 7 days before the session, the deposit is non-refundable.

If you cancel less than 48 hours before the scheduled time or do not attend, the deposit is non-refundable and cannot be transferred.

If I have to cancel the shoot, I’ll either refund the deposit in full or we can choose a new date — whichever you prefer.

9. Can I buy a gift voucher?

Yes. Gift vouchers are available for portrait or family photography and photography tuition.

It’s a way to give an experience rather than an object: a relaxed session, beautiful photographs and a lasting memory.

The voucher is valid for 6 months from the date of purchase.

10. Where can the session take place?

Sessions can take place in a studio, at home, outdoors, in the city, in a park, by the water, at your workplace or in another suitable location.

I’ll help you choose a place that fits your plans, mood and the season.

If the session takes place in a studio, the studio rental is charged separately.
